Policy
"The salvation of the state is watchfulness in the citizen." - Hartley Burr Alexander
Project Extra Mile works to initiate alcohol policies that are proven, by research, as effective in preventing underage drinking, limiting youth access to alcohol, and preventing alcohol-related harms. Working on policy initiatives is one of the ways Project Extra Mile helps to change the alcohol environment in Nebraska. The organization regularly provides testimony before the Nebraska Legislature to encourage effective alcohol policies that will save and protect young lives.
Project Extra Mile encourages and teaches citizens how to engage in the process of changing policies at the state level. For more information about getting involved in policy advocacy efforts, please contact us at info@projectextramile.org or call us at 402-963-9047.
